Thor – Lee’s Liquor Lounge – Minneapolis MN – May 4th 2019

Thor being his almighty rock n roll to Lee’s Liquor Lounge on May 4th.

He is on tour for his latest release Hammer of Justice. Coming off the huge hit I Am Thor he is back with a new album and documentary.

He brought the show to Lee’s Liquor Lounge and rocked the joint. The band has been recruited from all Minneapolis musicians. Tom Croxton on drums, John Libel on guitars, Ted Jedlicki on Bass and Frank Soda on guitars. The band ripped through mostly classics from Only the Strong, Thor’s 1985 classic. Also thrown in were a couple from the new release.

Thor came out with his usual armor, helmet and hammer. He still rocks the crowd like there are 10,000 people at the gig. Through out the evening he even invited a few fellow musicians to sign with him on stage. Terry Westerman is one of the biggest fans of Thor I know. He also brought up on of the signer from the opening band to jam a tune also. It is amazing he has been doing this since 1973. Keep the Dogs away just had it’s 30th anniversary a couple of years ago. This guys has been rocking since disco was huge.

Over all the band was amazing, Lee’s is amazing, and the crowd was way into it.. Even John’s mom was right up front head banging with all of us, and supporting her son’s guitars solos.

If you have not seen I Am Thor get on it. It is on Netflix. For all info on THOR click HERE for his webpage. All info, music and tour dates can be found there. This was my first time but won’t be my last.
