The Struts – First Avenue – Minneapolis MN – May 15th 2018

First Avenue presents The Struts.

The Struts are an awesome part of the rock n roll resurgence we are experiencing right now.

Their first cd came out in 2016 Everybody Wants. They have been touring forever in support of their first release. Rolling Stones, Motley Crue and now the opening spot on the Foo Fighters tour.

All their tunes are catchy little things as if you stuck Led Zeppelin, Queen and any other 70’s act into a blender and out came the Struts.

To say the show was fun or great or excellent would be an understatement. They are so good live.

Luke Spiller came out with a red leather jacket with white 3 foot fringe.  He also had several outfit changes throughout the night.

The band was spot on and have their chops together. Opening for the Foo’s has them nice and tight.

Tonight we got 2 new songs, Primadonna Like Me and Fire. Also did a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s Dancing in the Dark.

Maybe cause the video as shot here in 84, not sure why we got that one. We also got to sing Happy Birthday to the bass player Jed Elliot.

Lots of audience participation and clapping tonight. They love to get us involved.

Do yourself a favor and go get the CD, crank it up and enjoy the Struts. If they are close to you do not hesitate to go to their show.
