The Cure – Xcel Energy Center – St Paul MN – June 7th 2016

Xcel Energy Center present The Cure.

After waiting 20 years The Cure are finally back. After never getting to see them back in the day it was exciting to hear they were coming back to Minnesota.

They have been touring over the years but never came back, so glad to have them here.

Twilight Sad opened the show but was not able to get there in time.

I like what I hear, check out the band – www.twilightsad.com

The Cure have never sounded better. With a huge stage and video screens behind them that gave each song a totally different feel.

During Lullaby there was a spider web, during other songs it was just artsy video and so on.

Robert held up all night long and his voice sounded perfect. New guitarist Reeves Gabrels is from David Bowie Fame, so cool to see him.

Simon Gallup has been with band from the beginning and strutted all over the stage keeping those classic bass lines intact.

The set list was career spanning and the show was nearly three hours long!! Yes they had 4 encores.

Set list – Open – Alt End – A Night Like This – The Walk – Push – In Between Days – Just Like Heaven – The Snakepit – Pictures of You – The Perfect Girl – High – The End of the World –
