Red Fang – Turf Club St Paul MN September 15th 2018

The Turf Club in St. Paul held a sold out show on Saturday September 15th, 2018, with Dillinger Four, Cro-Mags, and Red Fang. This was a special event as it was essentially a somewhat ‘private’ show, as it wasn’t posted on social media besides their websites, but it was also Red Fang’s Bryan Giles birthday.

Minneapolis’ punk band Dillinger Four kicked off the night to get everyone pumped up for the show.

Cro-Mags hails from New York City are a hardcore punk/thrash band. They are considered one of the first bands to combine hardcore punk with trash metal. These guys have been rocking your eardrums for many years as their first debut album dropped in 1986 (The Age of Quarrel). Cro-Mags have a cult following and it certainly showed with the fans, as everyone was yelling the lyrics at the top of their lungs with the band and dancing along. They have most undoubtedly perfected the art of hardcore and performing as it shows that they have been doing this for many years.

Red Fang is a stoner metal band and they are from Portland Oregon. The band released their first LP in 2009 (self-titled). They are known for their super humorous YouTube videos. Their videos are what caught my attention of Red Fang because of how entertaining they are and I have been a fan ever since. Red Fang puts on a superb show and is definitely a show you don’t want to miss next time they are in town.
