Ministry and Alien Weaponry at the Skyway, Minneapolis Minnesota 11/27/18
Alien Weaponry was the opening act. They were well polished threesome that played type of metal. They seem to go over pretty well with the crowd although it seems like a little bit of an odd pairing because I’ve never viewed ministry as a metal band. If you like bands like Trivium and Light The Torch, you will probably like them.
Ministry was fantastic, I had never seen them before they really put on a great show with top-notch musicianship. They are currently on tour to support their newest release “AmeriKKKant”. They did something I thought was very bold of them, they play the entire new record. Many artists would be too scared to do something like this because it would kill the concert. Not for Ministry, the fans seem to really embrace it and loved the new music. After that was completed, they did go back and play some of their classics like “The Land Of Rape And Honey”, “The Missing” and “So What”.
Led by the founding member Al Jorgensen, Ministry proved that they still have it. There pretty early on in the tour so if you have the chance to see them, I recommend you do so. Give the new record a shot as well it seems to fit perfectly with her classic material.
