Skyway Theater Presents Knocked Loose
 – A Different Shade of Blue Tour with support from Stick To Your Guns, Rotting Out, Candy, and SeeYouSpaceCowboy

I will rate my overall experience on a 1-10 scale based on three categories (in this order):
Overall Entertainment Experience – Did I enjoy the set?
Performance – How do they sound live?
Energy – Stage presence, overall energy, crowd reaction.
10 = Mind blowing experience. 1 = I’d like to leave now.
Now that we’ve settled that, time for the reviews.

6 5 5
SeeYouSpaceCowboy kicked off the show with an OK set. They didn’t have as much energy as you’d like from an opener, but the crowd started warming up to them later on. Meh.

Candy came in with better energy than the previous act, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. Their sound is really groovy with lots of breakdowns. I can appreciate what they’re doing, but it’s not my jam.

Rotting Out

These guys rip. Twenty seconds into the first song, you could tell they were going to kick ass. Rotting Out is exactly the band you want to see at a hardcore show. Check these guys out now.

Stick To Your Guns
7 8 8
This is the second time I’ve seen Stick To Your Guns. The show was good, and the energy was there, but compared to Rotting Out, it wasn’t great. I’ll probably skip them next time they’re in town.

These dudes absolutely CRUSHED. Bryan Garris’s stage presence was contagious. Even though it wasn’t a packed house, the pit was insane. It was impossible to stand still. I’ve never seen so many people stage dive during a set. SEE THIS BAND WHEN YOU CAN.
