KISS – Mankato MN – August 1st 2016

Verizon Wireless Center presents KISS Freedom of Rock Tour.

Was very lucky enough to have friends that are connected. I had the pleasure to get VIP and meet n greet. Thank you T.

It was so cool seeing them acoustic in a small room with a few people. They were in a great mood, played a 6 song set and then walked around and took pictures and signed what ever you had.

I got 4 of my favorites shots I took a few years back signed.

With no new music to tour for the tour this time around is the Freedom to Rock tour.

Stage set up is the one they used on the Vegas residency in 2014. Cool led screens on the ceiling of the stage.

This time the lasers were awesome. Really good display of them during Lick it Up

The set list was heavy concentrated on the Destroyer album. Paul’s sounded good but still a far cry from when he was on top of his game.

Age will catch up with ya. He still rolls around on stage like he is 20.

Gene seemed to be in a great mood all night. Bounding and running all over the stage. He did spit blood and then blow fire.

For years it was the other way around fire first then blood spit.

Tommy and Eric are such good players and make every song sound just like the classic sound.

Love them in the band. Not that I do not miss Ace and Peter.

The band hires the local military at every show and present local military a check for 150,000 dollars.

The mayor came out also gave them the key to the city and declared August 1st 2016 Kiss day in Mankato

Over all the show is still huge – fire – lights – lasers – smoke – boots – Paul flying – Gene fire and blood – guitar solo – 2 tons of confetti and one hell of a good time.
