Iced Earth – Minneapolis Music Hall – Minneapolis MN – February 26th 2018

Iced Earth and sanctuary music call Minneapolis 2/26/18

Sanctuary is now again out on the road after the loss of their singer Worrell Dane at the end of 2017 to a heart attack. Their new singer Joey Concepcion did a great job filling Dane’s shoes. The crowd seemed to really embrace this band as they powered their way through a 60 Minute set which included several songs from their latest LP “Inception”. They have a new album coming out soon titled “Dead Again”.

Iced Earth is currently out on their North American tour to support their latest release “Incorruptible”. I had several takeaways from this show last night. Even though I’m not a huge metal fan I have to say these guys were amazing. They came out with a ton of energy and sustained it through the whole performance. They did a really good crowd with a lot of hard-core fans last night. The singer Stu Block, is absolutely fantastic and is different than so many of these metal bands. He’s got an incredible voice and was able to add a dimension to the songs that some bands just don’t have. The lighting show and the sound were top-notch. I really like this band and hope to see them on the festival circuit in the future.

The raw energy was absolutely fantastic and they give every metal band a run for their money. Their music is very melodic yet very heavy. If you’re looking to check out a band that you’re not familiar with and you like heavy metal, I highly recommend you check out Iced Earth.
