Incubus – Wait Park Amphitheater – Waite Park MN – July 26th 2023

Incubus brought their 2023 US tour to Waite Park, MN on July 26th, on an incredibly hot summer day. Bringing along with them Badflower and Paris Jackson.

Unfortunately, I missed being able to shoot Paris Jackson, but was able to hear then end of her set. She is the daughter of pop king, Michael Jackson, and Debbie Rowe. She has carved her own path as a singer while also modeling and acting. Paris signed to Republic Records in 2020. She has one studio album thus far titled, ‘Wilted’. Paris’ latest single “bandaid”, takes inspiration from 90’s grunge, and bands like Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins. It is really enchanting to watch her create her own path in the music industry, she was clearly born and brought up into the right industry.

I’ve seen Badflower several times, I absolutely love them and the presence they bring on stage. Even if you don’t know them, haven’t heard of them, or are new to them you will always leave their show as a new fan. Constantly capturing your attention. Josh, lead singer and guitar, stated it was a dream to be playing with Incubus, as he grew up a fan, you could feel how grateful they were to be on the tour through their performance. The sweaty foursome brought even more heat to the venue, as if we needed more, while also getting everyone pumped for Incubus. Badflower is always a must see when they come through your town, you won’t regret it, I promise.

Incubus is an alternative rock band that has been around since the 90’s. They are seasoned professionals, and you can feel and see it through their set. Brandon Boyd never has an issue being able to capture the crowd. With 8 studio albums out, the latest being released in 2017, they had a load of hits to play for the crowd. Playing some of their greatest hits and old school songs, the crowd was amped and ready to sing and dance along. Hearing the crowd singing, “Wish You Were Here” at the top of their lungs back to Brandon Boyd gave me goose bumps. As hot as it was, regardless it was a perfect night for a concert, especially with Incubus involved.
