Imagine Dragons – Target Center – Minneapolis MN – February 28th 2022

Live Nation and Target Center presents Imagine Dragons with special guests MØ.

Review and photos by Kyle Hansen

It has been 1490 days since Imagine Dragons were in town. Now we all know why and we all need as much as normal as ever right now. Concerts are the best distraction for everything that is going on in the world. First up is a Danish art call MØ, pronounced MEW. She has this interesting vibe. She reminded me of a Bjork style signer. She has been around since 2012 with three full albums. She controlled the stage back and forth and had the crowd into what she presented. If you dig Bjork and alternative rocked girls she is worth checking out. Click HERE for music and tour dates.

Setlist – Youth is Lost – Cool to Cry – New Moon – Turn My Heart to Stone – Blur Hip Bones – Lean On – Brad Pitt – Live to Survive – Don’t Leave – Final Song

Over 1400 days since  they have been here. To say the crowd was excited would be an understatement. There was a certain buzz in the air. People of every walks of life were at this show. As I was in the pit I talked to a small boy in the front row. I told him he had the best seat in the house. His mom told me it was his first concert. My response to her was You better have a good budget for concerts for him cause he is gonna be spoiled by this event. She laughed. He was so excited. Lead singer Dan Reynolds came up from the front of the stage in the middle of the crowd to the surprise from everyone. I spotted the stage with lights and smoke, told everyone to turn around thats where he is coming out. They ripped right into My Life and about 2 minutes in the stage exploded with confetti. They quickly went right into Believer. The stage was very interesting tonight. The Band has always has ramps that go into the crowd so it’s really hard to have abad seat. Imagine the stage and three ramps, two on the sides and one in the middle and meat in the front then go out into the stage. They also sold tickets in the pit area to be surrounded by their fans. after being stuck inside for two years to see people out enjoying life as it should be these site are a welcome back to almost normal.

Through out the night the band gave us all the hits and 7 songs from their latest release Mercury – Act 1. I watched a documentary about the band and the song writing process is amazing on how they work. The album stays right in vain with everything else they have done. In the middle of the show we also got a small acoustic set. They then hit us up with another eight songs. The show is a bombastic celebration of life, freedom, equality for all and music.
