Doro – Pov’s Spring Lake Park MN – October 11th 2014

VR Rocker presents Doro.

Doro brings her latest tour, 30 Year Strong and Proud, to Povinski’s in Spring Lake Park.

The place is packed and chanting “Doro! Doro! Doro!” before she is even in the building. It is evident that this is going be a great night as she kicks it off with four Warlock tunes – “I Rule The Ruins”, “Earthshaker Rock”, “Burning the Witches”, and “Fight for Rock”.

Having never seen her along with a lot of the crowd, she fit right into this Scandinavian part of the country. Before we even get into the club, people in the parking lot are telling us how amazing her shows are. She is one of those performers that puts her all into a show and regardless of if you have never heard a single song, you’ll enjoy the show. They couldn’t be more right.

I am surprised none of the Minnesota Vikings weren’t there. In between songs it is a constant chant of, “Metal queen, metal queen, metal queen!” or “Doro, Doro, Doro!”. The audience simply doesn’t stop cheering. She love every minute of it high fiving everyone and smiling, thanking everyone in her adorable little German accent. The band sound great and you can tell everyone just really appreciates being in the club. It’s like a big party.

The rest of the set is mostly Warlock songs. There were no complaints tonight at POV’S. We can only hope she comes back really soon.
